Selective Licensing for Landlords in Wirral to be rolled out

Wirral Borough Council are currently in the process of rolling out selective licensing for landlords in certain areas of the Wirral. These licenses have to be purchased and last for 5 years, the council set out certain conditions for the property and the landlord. From the council's site: "The Council would also need to determine if the proposed licence holder was a ‘fit and proper’ person and suitable to manage properties before issuing a licence." The landlord will need to go through costly training to pass for these licenses and also have costly changes made to their properties to get them up to spec.
Our sister company Hamilton Square Estates can help, if you transfer the management of your property to them as letting agents, they can act as the "fit and proper" managing agents on your behalf, eliminating the need to go through the training. We can also help make any changes needed to the property through ourselves. We could save you money in the long run and help you through this new legislation set out by the council.

Wirral Property Group - Office update

The new office is starting to take shape and I hope that we will be in by the end of October. 

The team are insulating the ceilings and putting in the various layers of plasterboard for sound and fire insulation, required under building regulations.  We start the wall insulation on Wednesday and hope to have the place plastered by the middle of next week.

We have had some fun designing the office layout - there will be ceiling and wall mounted TV displays, a CAT5 computer network and enough work stations to keep us going on to the next phase of our expansion. 

Next we are all off to the suppliers to choose the colour scheme for the reception desk and flooring.  Pictures to follow.

New office update!

The new office and 7 bed HMO in Hamilton Square is moving along nicely The office has started to take shape, the back office has been sectioned off and has had all the insulation put in and all the windows are now in place making it a lovely bright space to work in.  On the top floor the en-suites are taking shape; the plastering and painting has been done and the tiles have started to be put in - it's looking great!

The office area is getting ready for work to start the windows have been removed and shutters put up and the old bar has also been taken down revealing a vast space and great natural lighting for the staff to benefit from in our new lettings department.

I will keep updating as the works move along.

We are moving!

I am pleased to anounce that Wirral Property Group and Hamilton Square Estates (previously MOBO Lettings) are moving to bigger premises on the corner of Hamilton Square, Birkenhead.

We have purchased the Cleveland Hotel pub on Cleveland Street in Birkenhead and works have started to create a new office for both Wirra Property Group and Hamilton Square Estates.

This will be topped by a fabulous 7 bed house of multiple occupancy (HMO).

More information and pictures to come as the project progresses. Exciting times!!
