Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) has submitted planning application for the £64m redevelopment of the old Royal Mail Sortiing office at Copperas Hill, near Liverpool's Lime Street Station.
The development, including a student life and a sports building, will mark the entrance to Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter and public spaces will mean that everyone can enjoy the new area.
The planning and design consultancy, Barton Willmore, submitted the plans to Liverpool City Council on behalf of LJMU.
