The academy is based alongside the Vauxhall Road Campus, sitting in the Central Docks neighbourhood at Liverpool Waters, and it opened its doors to 250 students this month.

The students will split their time between practical skills workshops and purpose-built modular classrooms, gaining both hands-on experience and the knowledge required for a successful career in construction.

It is expected that the students will benefit further from the development, with the opportunity for  apprenticeships and employment built into their experience.

The City of Liverpool College has already been working with Peel Waters and former students are now employed across Liverpool Waters.
