Construction and fit-out of the new Birkenhead Market is expected to begin imminently.

This follows the decision to award a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) with enabling works to Krol Corlett Construction after a procurement process.

Current market traders are to be housed in the old TJ Hughes within Grange Precinct, the aim being to create a new market within the unit.
